A webinar on « international amicable settlement: new perspectives after the entry into force of the Singapore Convention » was held on January 6, under the scientific supervision of the Professor Filali Osman.

On 12 September 2020 was enacted a new international convention, the « United Nation Convention on International Settlement Agreements Resulting from Mediation” also known as the Singapore Convention. It applies to international settlement agreements resulting from mediation and raises a series of theoretical and practical issues that have been discussed on January 6.

During half a day, speakers of great reputation have talked about the entry into force of the Convention and the development of international mediation, texts’ recognition by different legal systems and also its articulation with the New York Convention. International mediation and arbitration centers have been able to share their points of view and experiences.

This webinar was organized in partnership with CAIP, CMAP, CRACIC, CAMP as well as Milan and Sofia arbitral chambers. Support was provided by the foundation Hanns Seidel, Rail logistic and the United Nation Commission on International Trade Law.
